Fundraising Committee

Fundraising Committee has been established to fulfil the task of fundraising for the cost of setting up a multidisciplinary and multiagency Centre for Young People and Children.

In a Phase 1 we envisage establishing a Centre for Excellence for Young People and Children as a model of integrated psychotherapeutic services in the country. Concentrating our efforts around one centre with purpose built facilities, i.e. play therapy rooms and sensory rooms will give a better quality services and a more holistic approach to troubled young people and children.

The Centre will also provide training, support and advice to parents and professionals involved in working with children using the expertise of trainers, along with graduates and trainees.

The services will also be provided on an outreach basis to local schools and family centres, in situ and from our Terapia on the Move, a mobile fully equipped Counselling and Play Therapy room.

In Phase 2 of the project Terapia Centre for Young People and Children will be sustained by charging rent from the training organisation, other community organisations and professionals which might want to run their activities from an integrated centre. We also envisage some contributions from Local Authorities and schools where outreach work will take place. Any surplus from these activities will be reinvested in the Centre to enhance facilities for children, young people and other service users.
